INTERFERENCE 2013: EVILUTION?

Interference 2013: An event where art and science meet. What happens if evolution takes the wrong turn? This question is raised by  Interference with their guiding theme “Evilution”. The perfect location for this project was found in a place that will be completely transformed in the future: the “Mammoetterrein” (industry yard) Breda.

“Decimation” is a sound sculpture by Augusto Meijer, which was specifically created for Interference 2013: Evilution?
He outlines a digitized world which has surpassed humanity. The work raises an interesting question: how does an abandoned world of completed digitization sound like?
